Terrible place. Really gone down hill and feels like it might collapse any day. Unfortunate to see a great little local store get so rundown as if the new owners don't care about it or the local community at all. Also very rude cashiers as well. Guess we will just head up the highway to gas bar when we want a little treat.
Aside from being confused about the entrance, once you find it, you can find quick and convenient i pantry items, lottery tickets, snacks beverages even some small pharmacy items and an LCBO perfect for the surrounding community and people like me who service it weekly.
General store that has what youd need. A great selection of liquor wine and beer. Perfect for the things you forgot to get in town and for the long weekend
Was here visiting with my parents they live in the area, the store has everything you need and more, beer and LCBO, grocery store and more. Allways feel like your family walking into this place
They have pretty much anything you might need in a pinch. Wish they would update the layout (interior & exterior) and fix the parking lot pot holes. All the staff are very nice and helpful. I still haven't bought the winning lottery ticket from there but still trying. Once I do, they'll get 10 stars.
All the chips I was looking for were broken. And I found a bag that wasn’t broken and the stupid male owner smashed the bag off the counter on me and then wouldn’t let me get a new bag after I had already paid.horrible customer service
[07/13/17] I have been visiting this store for years, so I am a loyal customer; however, my friend and I received awful, and quite frankly embarrassing customer service. Let me preface by saying that I am 27, and my friend is 23, so we both are way beyond the legal age of purchasing alcohol. Having read signage on the doors to the refrigerators, my friend did not enter because she left her ID at our country house (she wasn't driving, so therefore, she didn't need her ID). After my friend simply asked me to get a box of beers (which wasn't even for the two of us--it was for my husband and her boyfriend), the "manager" (or that's what she said she was) shouted across the store demanding to see her ID. She calmly explained that she didn't have it, and stated that she did not enter the coolers or touch any alcohol. The "manager" was totally not understanding, and rudely refused to make the sale because according to her, it is illegal to communicate about alcohol without ID. Frustratingly, we returned home to get my friend's ID, and hoped to go back and make a purchase. When we returned, my friend showed her valid government ID, and told the "manager" that signage should be changed to reflect the laws (if such a law actually exists). In a totally fuss, the "manager" said that we were causing trouble, refused to sell us anything at all, and told us to leave! I have never been more embarrassed in my life, especially after neither my friend or I did anything wrong. We are professional, responsible adults that were trying to purchase alcohol--which, because we presented valid ID and were not under the influence--is our legal right. We have both contacted the LCBO and The Beer Store to file complaints, as this "manager" is selling on behalf of both entities. I strongly recommend that the owner of this store discuss the matter with his "manager" in order to avoid loosing more customers.
